About me and the future of this blog.

Ello,

My names Matthew Williams. I am a 19 year old British kid and have a sometimes unhealthy obsession for games, tv and movies.

My love for anything emanating from a screen began in the 90s (I'm a 90s kid!), specifically 1997 with the original Playstation and 5 games; Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, SpeedFreaks, Crash Bandicoot, Rayman and Grand Theft Auto. These games mixed with my 4 year old imagination threw me into a world where I fired rockets at my friends in races, I ran from boulders while leaping over caverns and I ran over a que of elvis' in a firetruck. Maybe that explains a lot.
some things stay with you
forever

With my obsession with games growing like a steady fire in my heart year by year, when the xbox came out it was like someone poured gasoline on that fire. The Xbox was the first console I owned purely to myself. My own,  so I could spend all my time on Midtown Madness 3 (There is something about causing automobile destruction I love) without my sister wanting to play something else.

It was on the Xbox I first came to the year 2552, where a certain man in a certain green suit discovered a certain ring shaped superstructure in deep space. Though it wasn't the romantic meeting you imagine. It was the second mission, having watched my friend play through the opening mission I was determined to have a go and which is where, to its own merit, Halo was so beautiful I was too distracted from these next generation graphics I didn't bother reading the prompt on how to pick up a weapon. "I'M PRESSING THE BLUE ONE" was screamed through the house which lead me to believe the game was broken and I stopped playing, in my first rage quit.  My inability to read "Hold X" left Halo at the bottom of my game collection for many years until one day I decided to try it again, having watched the incredible E3 Demo of Halo 2 (shame that wasn't like the final game) and the result is me being an avid fan of the games and the universe.

As the generation came to a close the future was pretty, very very pretty. With the next generation of graphics so came the greatest series of games I have played. GTA IV, GTA V, Mass Effect Trilogy, Halo 3, Call Of Duty 4, Dead Space 2, Uncharted series, Just Cause 2, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed, just to name a few.

And so this is where I am now, starting this blog between playing GTA V and sorting out my life. I plan for videos, reviews, news and more for this blog in the future. I plan on covering as much as I can as a 1 man team from the next gen to the current gen systems such as 360, PS3 and PC.

The future I plan and the future it may have may be wildly different but as long as I entertain somebody I will be happy.
